The Coolest Place We Never Went Location: 498 9th St, San Fransisco, CA
This is just a little ditty of a tale starting with an early morning train ride from Bako to San Fran to pick up a car. I had not taken a real train ride before, and I do not know if it was because it was early or just because that is the way it is, but there were not a lot of people on board.
The gentleman manning the dining car slept most of the way and when I asked him for a Red Bull he said he was out and then reached under the counter and gave me one of his. Cool.
Walking between the cars, that is pretty freaky though.
The train took us most of the way and then a short but ride dropped us downtown.
I was fascinated by some of these shapes....

The main thing I wanted to do was have lunch at Moto Java...

Of course they were NOT OPEN....even though they said they would be!

Good Mural Though!

This blog post does not have a clear beginning or a foreseeable clear end. It does, however, have a clear now.
For those readers who do not know that story, on May 14th 2007 I was horribly injured in a freak motorcycle accident on a desert road on the Arizona/New Mexico border. I was miraculously rescued and, in fairness, have to thank the doctors who saved my life and put me back together.
However, since that time, doctors with their over-medication, career and life-damaging reports which they refuse to take responsibility for, and mercenary financial tactics have brought me to a desperate place.
That desperate place is right, here, right now.
There is a specialist at UCLA who several months ago wrote a report, based on hearsay, that prevented me from returning to work and is about to make me lose my drivers license. In this report she brought into question my my cognitive functioning. Since that time I have been to another specialist at great expense to myself personally to have my cognitive functioning tested. (Oh, by the way, no thanks to my psychiatrist, who has consistently over-medicated me and then refused to take any kind of responsibility for the implications of that.)
The cognitive testing shows me all normal.
IN SHORT, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ME THAT WOULD PREVENT ME FROM DRIVING OR PERFORMING ANY OTHER TASK AND I CAN PROVE IT. HOWEVER, NEITHER THE SPECIALIST AT UCLA OR THE PSYCHIATRIST WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THIS!!!!!!!!
Worse still, their foot-dragging and buck-passing cost me a months work and a months disability which cost me my truck. We are now down to just motorcycles and on March the 2nd I lose my drivers license unless a doctor will sign off on my medical
MY PSYCHIATRIST REFUSES TO SEE ME AND THE SPECIALIST SPECIALIST AT UCLA WILL NOT RETURN MY URGENT PHONE CALLS. HOWEVER, IN THE BACKGROUND, THEY CONTINUE TO PASS THE BUCK AND DESTROY MY LAST OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A LIVING AND DIG MYSELF OUT OF THE HOLE THAT HAS BEEN CREATED.
So, here is my desperate gamble-when I finish writing this and posting all over the internet, I am going to get on a motorcycle which needs a new clutch and new rear-end bearings and driving to UCLA. This is a distance of about 120 miles over some difficult and dangerous mountain terrain. I am going to do whatever it takes to confront this doctor and/or one of her superiors and get them to take action.
At this point I am not naming names and I am keeping this report in the domain of blogs and private e-mails. If I survive the day and do not get some satisfaction I will start naming names and start using my position as a member of the press to spread the story far and wide.
I have nothing more to lose at this point.
Wish me luck.

In a recent article posted on Facebook, Paul Vogelzang argued for the monetization of every aspect of podcasting. My response to that a loud and unmitigated NO! That kind of thinking is exactly what is destroying the culture of the internet. Worse, it also contributes to the attitude in America that seems to sign off on the disappearance of the middle class. Apparently Mr. Vogelzang is one of the rich getting rich getting richer.
On the other hand, I am one of the poor getting poorer. I see the internet and "New Media" as a way of combating this trend. For example, the internet is the perfect way to energize a barter economy. The goods and services people have to offer each other are often far and above in value, to them, than what they would necessarily equate to in dollars. I know that I am going to start dedicating part of my podcast time to this purpose immediately,
Now, lest I be labeled a hypocrite, yes I do have ads on my show and my site. A person does in our society has to have a certain amount of money to live. A fact brought even more clearly into focus as my truck was towed away last night by the bank. And this just points out the ultimate idiocy of Capitalism. Let's see, Cameron just showed to the bank his clearance to return to work full-time on Monday without restriction. So, lets take his transportation away. Jeez that makes sense. Now instead of the bank getting their money repaid and our family being able to get back on its feet, they just made it all that much harder.

Are you listening Mr. Vogelzang? Some of us are just getting killed out here and you and your ilk need to wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank God for motorcycles!
For somewhat who grew up carrying a copy of Atlas Shrugged religiously (pun intended) under my arm, what I am about to say does not come out lightly.
Go Obama!

I am finding myself in a bit of a quandary over the presidential election. I seemed to have fipped sides, although who can tell which side is which anymore. Once a staunch right-winger, recent events in my personal and business life have caused me to reconsider my values.
It is no secret that the middle class is disappearing in America and the rich truly are getting richer and poor truly are getting poorer. I find myself slipping into the latter class as do many, many others.
At the present time I am in need, again, of motorcycle parts. Unfortunately I am also cashless, but I do have a wealth of things of value both physical and mental.
I have started a parts-swapping bbs on the high slab website.
I made an appeal to folks on the Road Show Podcast and so far there has been little interest which I find curious. If anyone here would like to check it out go to:
